About the Show

The Black Cat Cabaret draws inspiration from the Absinthe-soaked underworld of Montmartre in its 1920s heyday, featuring a company of mad musicians, alluring acrobats, decadent dancers and comic characters – brought to life by the intoxicating spirit of the moon. This uniquely theatrical cabaret spectacular combines the very best Cabaret has to offer, crossing the polished high skills of high-end shows such as La Soiree, with the anarchic hellfire humour and musical sensibilities of the Boom Boom Club, along with acts that rival The Box for transgressive and wildly provocative performances

The Black Cat Cabaret presents Salon Des Artistes: an intimate evening of variety from London’s cabaret trailblazers, and the audacious petite soeur to the company’s full-scale theatrical productions. Inspired in part by the dark and daring heyday of Parisian cabaret culture, yet with a timeless sensibility all of its own, the show features the very finest performers on the scene. What to expect at the Salon of 2023? Comic song, live music, superior displays of showmanship and elegant burlesque – all bound together with razor-sharp wit by The Black Cat’s trademark belle epoque spirit of giddy abandonment. “Salon” was born at Cafe Royal’s infamous Grill Room in 2013 and has enjoyed a weekly residency in the deco splendour of Crazy Coqs since 2017. Winner – ‘Best Production’, London Cabaret Awards 2014
