Following a smash-hit run at Edinburgh Festival this year, award-winning comedy sketch villains Casual Violence present the grim tale of the most villainous bloodline in human history, developed with The Lowry. The House of Nostril is described as a gloom-trodden tale of terror, tyranny and taxidermy directed by Alex Newall and produced by James Huntrods, two Manchester born comedy stars.

A nightmare blend of sketch comedy, live music and pure evil, The House of Nostril tells the story of ancient maniac Roger Nostril, who returns home from a twenty year war with Amnesty International to find himself caught in a fresh battle for dominance with his wayward son Charlie. Can Roger fight a war on two fronts? Will Charlie ever stand up for himself? And will decapitating the CEO of Amnesty International really be enough to stop him?

After its premiere at Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer, The House of Nostril is playing The Lowry Studio from Thu 31 October – 2 November.

Casual Violence are the latest company to benefit from being part of The Lowry's Developed With programme, a scheme to provide financial, practical and creative support to companies and theatremakers. The House of Nostril has also been supported by The Lowry's Accelerate program, an initiative which offers tailored professional development opportunities to four emerging and mid-career theatre companies each year through the generous support of the Jerwood Charitable Foundation.
