Full casting has been announced for Matthew Xia's revival of Kemp Powers' One Night in Miami, which opens at Nottingham Playhouse in June.

Joining Matt Henry as Sam Cooke will be Conor Glean (Mother Courage and Her Children) as Cassius Clay, Christopher Colquhoun (Macbeth) as Malcolm X and Miles Yekinni (Front Line) as Jim Brown. The cast will be completed by Oseloka Obi (The Son) and Andre Squire (The Grapes of Wrath).

The 2016 play, which first premiered in the UK at Donmar Warehouse, is set in 1964 in the midst of the civil rights movement where a group of men celebrate Clay's title win in a Miami hotel room. It will run at the Playhouse from 7 to 22 June, with an opening night on 11 June.

One Night In Miami has design by Grace Smart, lighting design by Ciarán Cunningham, composition and sound design by Max Pappenheim and casting by Sophie Parrott.

Following the run in Nottingham, the production will tour to Bristol Old Vic (25 to 29 June) and HOME Manchester (2 to 5 July).
