Witness for the Prosecution announces new company

The 16th cast of Agatha Christie’s Witness for the Prosecution has been announced as the production enters its tenth year at London County Hall. The production, directed by Lucy Bailey, has also extended its booking period.

Matthew McGivern will join the show as Leonard Vole, alongside Sophie Craig as Romaine Vole. Jo Stone-Fewings returns as Sir Wilfrid Robarts QC, with Crispin Redman as Mr Mayhew, Jude Owusu as Mr Myers QC and David Shaw-Parker as Mr Justice Wainwright.

Sahar Awad, Philip Battley, William Baylis, Siobhan Bevan, Garon Akbar Clark, Michael Cusick, Anthony Ofoegdu, Sean Paul Jenkinson, Io Munro, Caroline Partridge, Tom Richardson and Tristan Rivelle complete the company. The new cast begins performances on 22 September 2026.

The production first opened in 2017 and is staged inside London County Hall, with the audience seated around the courtroom as the case against Leonard Vole unfolds. Witness for the Prosecution received Best Revival nominations at the 2018 Olivier Awards and WhatsOnStage Awards.

William Dudley designed the production, with lighting by Chris Davey, sound by Mic Pool and casting by Ben Armstrong.

The extension means Witness for the Prosecution will continue at London County Hall until 19 September 2027. Tickets for the new booking period are on sale now.
