The Belgrade Theatre’s autumn season will get off to an explosive start as its brand new musical The Prodigals: A Man Had Two Sons bursts on to the Main Stage from Fri 30 Aug to Sat 14 Sept, starring acclaimed West End actor Simon Bowman.

Here is your chance to win one of two pairs of tickets to see the show on Fri Aug 30.

With its roots in the biblical tale of the prodigal son, The Prodigals follows the story of Colonel Luke Gibson, a father who is trying to balance his love for his two very different sons. One has been fighting for Queen and country in Afghanistan, whilst the other has hit rock bottom after touring the country with his drug fuelled band.

The Prodigals is an extended version of a critically acclaimed workshop production that premiered at the Edinburgh Festival in 2011. It will feature a range of eclectic, original songs with each character reflecting a particular style of music – from the high energy, electronic beats of Kyle’s band, to the epic, rock ballads of his father, Colonel Gibson. It also features some inventive choreography; covering a range of styles including sequences of dramatic street dance.

To be in with a chance of winning one of two pairs just answer this simple question:

What is the name of the West End star who will play Colonel Luke Gibson in The Prodigals?

1. Simon Bowman

2. Sandy Bowman

3. Stephen Bowman

and then e-mail your answer to birmingham@whatsonstage.com with the subject ‘Prodigals’ by the closing date of Mon Aug 26 2013.

Terms and Conditions: Tickets cannot be exchanged for any other dates. Only one entry per household/email account please, as multiple entries/spammers will be deleted. Also, please ensure that you are free to attend on Fri 30 Aug, 7.45pm, as we cannot offer alternative dates or times, should your plans change. Travel is not provided and please note seating could be anywhere in the auditorium and we are not provided with these details in advance.

Thanks and good luck!
