Zoe Doano is currently starring as Cosette in Les Miserables at the Queen's Theatre. Her previous theatre credits include Sweeney Todd (Tooting Arts Club and West End transfer), The Grand Tour (Finborough) and Grease (Piccadilly).
We caught up with her to find out which items she couldn't live without.
ZD: Carrie Hope Fletcher (our previous Eponine) made these for me at the beginning of my contract. I've had them ever since!
ZD: A memory of an occasion I will never forget. A young girl called Ella came to see the show with the Make-A-Wish Foundation . She didn't have long left on this planet, and her wish was to see the show and meet the cast. She was the most beautiful, amazing little girl inside and out. She asked for my autograph and I said I would, as long as she gave me hers. She did 🙂
ZD: From my very first job. This has been in every single one of my dressing rooms since I graduated. Hero.
ZD: We have three sets of children at Les Mis consisting of little Eponine, little Cosette, and Gavroche. They love drawing pictures, we so have many stuck up in our room!
ZD: Our most prized possession! Not many people know, but all of the principal girls share this dressing room ( Fantine, Eponine, Cosette and Madame T). Due to the nature of the theatre, there aren't many dressing rooms and they are lovely but snug. Lots of bodies and costumes means the room can get warm. Our fan is our pride and JOY!
ZD: Hand san that doesn't smell like hospitals. A rare find.
ZD: I never leave home without it. My station often looks like a craft shop!
