The show goes on sale in May

Theatregoers and tourists are being urged to exercise caution following the appearance of street-side signage in London offering tickets for the upcoming revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park with George.
The production, which was officially confirmed last week, is set to star Wicked leads Ariana Grande and Jonathan Bailey. Despite the excitement surrounding the high-profile casting, tickets are not yet available for purchase.
The Barbican Centre, where the production is scheduled to run in summer 2027, has clarified that tickets will only go on sale in May 2026. The venue has stated that bookings will be handled exclusively through the official Barbican website and box office.
Given London has a high number of tourists unaware of the show’s ticketing policy, and the revival will be of big importance to thousands of Grande fans who might not know general London theatre ticketing policies, there is every risk these signs could prove effective.
London visitors have always been encouraged to buy tickets either through a box office or an accredited third party / affiliate location, either brick-and-mortar or online.
Industry watchdog Theatremonkey first posted the photo on social media, warning users of the scam.

The warning comes after images surfaced on social media showing a hand-written “On Sale” board outside a central London shop. The sign lists “Ariana Grande” and “J Bailey” alongside the show title, implying that tickets can be bought “inside the shop” immediately.
Directed by Marianne Elliott with design by Tom Scutt, the revival marks a major reunion for Grande and Bailey following their roles as Glinda and Fiyero in the Wicked film adaptations.
