Disney’s blockbuster musical will hold public auditions to find the singers and dancers for the London show
Open auditions for Disney's blockbuster musical The Lion King will be held in several venues across the UK this October and November.
The show is looking for anyone aged over 18 to audition in Birmingham, Manchester and London for the London run of the show. The Lion King are looking for singers with strong ''soul/gospel" voices, who can sing a contemporary pop or rock song.
Dancers are expected to have a modern dance background, with acrobatic skills "a major plus".
There will be auditions in Birmingham on 31 October, Manchester on 1 November and London on 7 and 21 November.
Though previous experience is preferable, it's not necessary.
This is the latest round of open auditions from Disney's musical adaptation of the 1994 film with songs from Elton John and Tim Rice.
The production, which is now in its sixteenth year, includes iconic songs such as "Can You Feel The Love Tonight", "Hakuna Matata" and "Circle of Life" as well as extra songs added epsecially for the West End show.
