Further casting has been announced for the UK premiere of Florian Zeller's The Height of the Storm, which opens its UK tour in Richmond on 1 September before coming to the West End's Wyndham's Theatre in October.

Joining the previously announced Jonathan Pryce and Eileen Atkins in the production will be Anna Madeley (Patrick Melrose), Amanda Drew (Zeller's The Father) and Lucy Cohu (The Queen's Sister).

The piece, translated by Christopher Hampton (who has translated a number of Zeller's works) follows André and Madeleine, a couple realising their relationship may not be as perfect as they expected, even after 50 years of marriage.

Jonathan Kent, who recently directed the Chekhov trilogy of plays at Chichester Festival Theatre and the National Theatre, helms the show. He also directed the Olivier Award-winning West End production of Gypsy.

Zeller's most recent play to run in London was The Lie, which premiered at the Menier Chocolate Factory last autumn. His previous credits include The Father, The Mother and The Truth, with The Father and The Truth both nominated for Best New Comedy in 2015 and 2017. Kenneth Cranham won the Olivier Award for Best Actor when he appeared in The Father.
