Guild of Misrule's The Great Gatsby, a co-production with Theatr Clwyd, is gearing up for opening night in a couple of weeks. Set in The Dolphin Hotel in Mold, the show will create a new immersive experience based on F Scott Fitzgerald's cult novel, which follows the amorous relationship between Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan in '20s New York. The piece stars Michael Lambourne, Amie Burns Walker, and Oliver Towse as the ineffable Jay Gatsby.

As the show wraps up its rehearsals before moving into the main space, we asked members of the cast to show us their day-to-day life and any quirky elements involved in the show.

Gatsby hits the streets

Zoe Hakin (Jordan Baker): "Party bus rolling through town!"

Snacks for success

Jake Ferretti (Tom Buchanan): "It's like one big health store in the break room!"

Handball is no joking matter

Oliver Towse (Gatsby): "In the time off from rehearsing we take handball very seriously, losers in the corner and off the court."

Vintage vibes

Oliver Towse (Gatsby): "This is not a party you want to miss!"

A bunch of brogues

Heledd Mair Rees (Designer): "Get your dancing shoes on lads!"

Cheering on the team member

The Group: "Cast watching cast on Corrie!"

Let me give you my card

The Group: "An invitation…"

The Great Gatsby runs at the Dolphin Hotel in Mold from 28 February to 25 March with previews from 22 February.
