Sheffield Crucible's Frost/Nixon rehearsal photos

Images have been released showing the cast of Frost Nixon in rehearsals ahead of the show's opening at Sheffield Crucible later this month.

Kate Hewitt's production features Jonathan Hyde (Julius Caesar, Crucible) and Daniel Rigby (Twelfth Night, National Theatre) as Richard Nixon and David Frost.

Following the Watergate scandal in 1974, Nixon became the only US President in history to resign from office. Peter Morgan's award-winning play – which premiered at the Donmar Warehouse in 2006 and now receives its regional premiere – focuses on Nixon's post-Watergate interviews with chat show host Frost in 1977.

The cast also features Simon Bubb, Ben Dilloway, Steven Elder, Vidal Sancho, Celina Sinden, Kate Spencer, Dan Starkey and David Sturzaker.

The production has design by Ben Stones, lighting by Charles Balfour, composition and sound design by George Dennis, video design by Andrzej Goulding and movement direction by Lizzi Gee.

Frost/Nixon runs at the Sheffield Crucible from 26 February to 17 March, with previews from 21 February.
