Caryl Churchill’s short play looks at the truth behind the Ugandan Anti-Homosexuality Act
Casting for Caryl Churchill's new play Pigs and Dogs has been announced.
Fisayo Akinade (The Tempest, Globe), Sharon D Clarke (Amen Corner, National) and Alex Hassell (Death Of A Salesman) will star in the short play which looks at what happened when Uganda passed the Anti-Homosexuality Act in 2014.
The parliament of Uganda passed the bill which changed the punishment for homosexuality from life in prison to the death penalty.
The 10-minute play is directed by former Royal Court artistic director Dominic Cooke, with lighting design by Jack Williams and sound design by David McSeveney.
Pigs and Dogs opens on 22 July at Jerwood Theatre Downstairs, Royal Court.
