Sabrina Aloueche and Jodie Steele among cast of The Great American Trailer Park Musical

Casting has been announced for The Great American Trailer Park, which opens at Waterloo East Theatre next month.

West End veteran Rosemary Ashe, whose credits include The Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables, will lead the cast alongside Sabrina Aloueche (We Will Rock You), Jemma Alexander (Wicked), Jodie Steele (War of the Worlds), Michelle Bishop (Bend it Like Beckham) and Adam Vaughn (Sunset Boulevard).

Directed by Kirk Jameson, with choreography by Rebecca Howell (American Psycho) and musical direction from James Taylor (The Sound of Music Live), the musical explores the relationships between the tenants at the Armadillo Acres Trailer Park in Florida.

It has music and lyrics by David Nehls and a book by Betsy Kelso. The show ran off-Broadway in 2005 and has since played throughout the USA, Australia and Europe.

The Great American Trailer Park runs at Waterloo East Theatre from 17 May – 5 June.
