Rob Madge and Pippa Cleary developing Bank of Dave musical

A new musical based on the real-life story of Dave Fishwick is in development.

The self-made Burnley businessman is the subject of Bank of Dave, which will feature a book by WhatsOnStage Award winner Rob Madge and music by Pippa Cleary (The Great British Bake Off Musical), and lyrics by the duo.

Based on the BAFTA Award-winning documentary, best-selling book, and hit film, the new musical is set to be directed by Curve’s artistic director, Nikolai Foster.

Revealed as part of a fresh set of Made at Curve productions and co-productions, Bank of Dave is in development in partnership with the Lowry in Salford, ROYO and Future Artists Entertainment.
