The PLAYHOUSE has announced Hollyoaks star and Dancing on Ice contestant, Jennifer Metcalfe alongside ‘Any Dream Will Do’ runner-up, Keith Jack are to appear in this year’s Christmas pantomime, Cinderella.
This will be Jennifer’s first time in pantomime, unlike Keith who has performed twice at the Kings Theatre Glasgow pantomime as well as in Aberdeen over the last few years.
Jennifer, who is filming in Hollyoaks up until the start of panto rehearsals, said: “I can’t wait to get to Whitley Bay this Christmas, it’s a lovely town. I’ve never performed there before but I have been there and the people are lovely.”
Keith, who came second in ‘Any Dream Will Do’, finally got his chance to don his coat of many colours and is currently on tour as Joseph in the Bill Kenwright touring production.
The pair will join North East comic Steve Walls who is returning to the PLAYHOUSE for his 3rd consecutive year alongside David Burton as Baron Hardup, Danny Jay and David Drewitt as the Ugly Sisters and two real Shetland ponies. Also taking to the stage to complete the lineup is Suzanne Richardson from South Shields as the Fairy Godmother and James Darch as Dandini.
