Pitlochry Festival Theatre will be open for business over the festive season with it’s first ever pantomime. Directed by John Durnin, Cinderella will run for 40 performances beginning 2 December. Casting has still to be finalised but includes Pitlochry stalwart Martyn James.

The current season of plays continues until the 16 October with a repertory of shows including Kiss Me, Kate, Noises Off, Bus Stop and Nana. The 544 seat theatre, which is the town’s biggest employer, remains committed to it’s policy of ‘stay six days, see six plays’.

The 2011 season will be announced shortly and is rumoured to include a popular musical. Two years ago the theatre presented it’s first musical with the home grown Whisky Galore, which was an enormous popular and critical success, setting new box office records.
