The show opens at Theatre Royal Haymarket next year

Tickets for the West End run of The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry at the Theatre Royal Haymarket are now available, coinciding with the release of Passenger’s new album One For The Road.
The production, adapted by Rachel Joyce from her best-selling novel, transfers from Chichester Festival Theatre and begins performances on 29 January 2026, with a press night on 10 February. Mark Addy and Jenna Russell reprise their roles as Harold and Maureen, with further casting to be announced. The musical is directed by Katy Rudd and features design by Samuel Wyer, choreography by Tom Jackson Greaves, and lighting by Paule Constable.
Passenger, best known for his chart-topping hit “Let Her Go”, provides music and lyrics. His album One For The Road collects songs from the show alongside additional material. It includes the track “Walk Upon the Water”, a collaboration with the Kingdom Choir, which will be released tomorrow with an accompanying video.
The show, which runs until 18 April 2026, follows Harold’s journey across England as he sets out on a spontaneous pilgrimage that changes his life and those of the people he meets. At home, his wife Maureen embarks on her own path of rediscovery. It received a glowing review from WhatsOnStage during its Chichester run.
Passenger’s album will be available on streaming platforms from 10am tomorrow, while tickets are available in a pre-sale below.
