The north London theatre’s programme includes a world premiere
The Old Red Lion have announced their spring 2016 season with highlights including the world premiere of Lucinda Burnett’s coming-of-age drama Correspondence.
Running 8 March to 2 April, Correspondence is set between Stockport and Syria and explores fledgling friendships and mental health. Blythe Stewart directs Burnett’s new drama.
Other highlights include a re-imagining of Thomas Kyd’s bloody classic The Spanish Tragedy. Directed by Dan Hutton (Barrel Organ theatre company) the production marks the first pre-20th century play produced at the theatre for three years.
To round the season off in April, the first full production of Felix Trench’s Radioman will be directed by Tom Crowley. The one-man show is a story of obsession and eccentricity that starts on the English waterways and floats out across the galaxy.
