There are two new UK venues to add to the current tour of the show
Two new venues have been announced on the UK tour of Miss Saigon.
The show, which opened on tour at Leicester Curve will continue at Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Dublin until 18 November. It then heads to Wales Millenium Centre (29 November to 6 January), Festival Theatre Edinburgh (17 January to 17 February) and more until it ends its tour in November 2018.
The new dates are at the Bradford Alhambra from 19 September to 20 October and Sunderland Empire from 24 October to 17 November 2018.
The show will also tour to Theatre 11, Zurich, from 28 November 2018 to 13 January 2019.
The new production opened in the West End in March 2014 and won nine WhatsOnStage awards. The piece is Claude-Michel Schönberg, Richard Maltby Jr and Alain Boublil's adaptation of Puccini's Madame Butterfly. The action is set in the Vietnam War where 17 year-old Kim is forced to work in a bar where she meets and falls in love with an American GI.
In WhatsOnStage's five star review of the UK tour, reviewer Diane Parkes said the show feels as current today as it did when it first performed in London.
Miss Saigon runs at Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Dublin until 18 November and then continues to tour the UK until November 2018.
