National Theatre 2027 Season
Indhu Rubasingham’s newest season at the National Theatre!
The five-star production will be back!

The National Theatre’s adaptation of Ballet Shoes will embark on a tour across the UK following its premiere run at the Olivier Theatre in London.
Katy Rudd directs the production, which brings Noel Streatfeild’s 1936 novel to the stage. Adapted by Kendall Feaver, the story follows the lives of three adopted sisters, Pauline, Petrova, and Posy Fossil, as they navigate their ambitions, talents, and training at the Academy of Dancing and Stage Training in London.
Strictly Come Dancing’s Anton Du Beke will join the cast for the tour. The production features set design by Frankie Bradshaw, costume design by Samuel Wyer, choreography by Ellen Kane, and original music composed by Asaf Zohar.
The creative team also includes lighting designer Oliver Fenwick, sound designer Ian Dickinson, and illusions director Chris Fisher.
