It follows an already released concept album

Exclusive: Kerry Ellis is the final star to be added to the semi-staged world premiere concert of Jo – The Little Women Musical.
Based on Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel, the new musical reimagines Little Women through the eyes of Jo March – a fiercely creative young writer whose grief and ambition shape one of literature’s most enduring coming-of-age stories. The concert will feature a 26-piece orchestra performing Dan Redfeld’s sweeping score, with book and lyrics by Christina Harding and John Gabriel Koladziej.
As already revealed, the 2026 event will feature Grammy nominee Christine Allado, alongside Kelly Mathieson, Eleanor Grant, Sophie Pollono and Tobias Turley, joined by Julian Ovenden as Father, Chris Mann as Professor Bhaer, Miyuki Miyagi as Sallie Gardner and Yazdan Qafouri as Fred Vaughn.
Also in the cast are two-time WhatsOnStage Award winner Tracie Bennett, who plays Aunt March, Olivier nominee Barry James as Grandfather/Mr Laurence, and Grammy nominee Liam Tamne as John Brooke.
Finally, Ellis completes the cast, taking on the role of Marmee.
The ensemble and chorus performers will be provided by Vocals Unlimited, with Tom Pearce serving as choirmaster, while orchestral management is by Isobel Griffiths. The general managers are New Road Theatricals.
The production is directed and choreographed by JoAnn M Hunter, whose credits include School of Rock and Bad Cinderella. It follows the global release of the Jo studio album earlier this year, recorded at Abbey Road Studios and produced by five-time Grammy nominee and three-time Emmy winner Nigel Wright alongside Redfeld – who is also musical director.
The concert will take place at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on Sunday 25 January 2026.
