Award-winning playwright James Graham will reunite with director Jeremy Herrin for a new play titled Major.

The production marks a continuation of their creative partnership following their political drama This House, which first premiered at the National and was celebrated by WhatsOnStage as one of the greatest plays of the century.

The narrative centers on the political transition when John Major succeeded Margaret Thatcher as Prime Minister.

The staging forms part of the National Theatre’s upcoming season, with Graham also part of the NT’s board.

Further details regarding casting, production dates, performance space and ticket booking information will be made available by the venue in due course.
