Neil McPherson's new play inspired by the life and letters of Charles Hamilton Sorley will transfer to Trafalgar Studios in November.

It Is Easy To Be Dead ran at the Finborough Theatre in June this year to positive reviews, including four stars from WhatsOnStage.

The play was collated from the writings of Sorley, a young man who was killed in action in the First World War. The show features readings of some of his poems and letters as well as original songs, and tells the story of how Sorley spent time in Germany before signing up to fight. It focuses on his parents, who are left with his legacy.

The cast includes Alexander Knox as Sorley, Jenny Lee, Tom Marshall and tenor Hugh Benson and pianist Elizabeth Rossiter.

It Is Easy To Be Dead runs at Trafalgar Studios from 11 November to 3 December.
