As part of her guest editor week at ”WhatsOnStage”, Indhu Rubasingham interviews two of the most exciting actors around on playing iconic roles, beginning life outside of the UK and what’s next
As part of her week as guest editor of WhatsOnStage, Indhu Rubasingham interviewed actors Noma Dumezweni and Lucian Msamati to talk about what it's like to take on iconic roles in the theatre cannon.
Dumezweni recently originated the role of Hermione Granger in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, while Msamati starred in the National Theatre's production of Amadeus, which is due to return next year.
During the interview, the trio touched on issues of colour, of the actors' journeys into theatre and, for Msamati, what it was like living and working originally in Zimbabwe, where he was one of the country's top performers.
