Timothy Sheader’s production has returned to Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre following its critically acclaimed run last year
Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Jesus Christ Superstar returned to Regent's Park Open Air Theatre last night.
Timothy Sheader's production premiered last summer with Declan Bennett starring as Jesus and Tyrone Huntley as Judas, both have returned to revive their performances this year.
They are joined by David Thaxton (Pilate), Peter Caulfield (Herod), Maimuma Memon (Mary), Phillip Browne (Caiaphas), Sean Kingsley (Annas), Phil King (Peter) and Tim Newman (Simon Zealotes).
The cast is completed by Nicholle Cherrie, Josh Dever, Mark Dugdale, Ivan De Freitas, Stevie Hutchinson, Sinead Long, Kayleigh McKnight, Javar La'Trail Parker, Nuno Queimado, Lauran Rae, Charlotte Riby, Cleve September, Tinovimbanashe Sibanda, Kirstie Skivington, Christopher Tendai, Dale White, Rhys Whitfield and Tara Young.
Jesus Christ Superstar runs at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre until 23 September.
