Glenn Close joins Layton Williams for the Everybody's Talking About Jamie West End cast change

The new cast includes Shane Richie and Hayley Tamaddon

The new cast of Everybody's Talking About Jamie had its official launch night last night, and guests including Glenn Close, Arlene Phillips, Stephen Daldry, Jessie Wallace and Paul Chuckle appeared at the musical to celebrate.

Layton Williams steps into the role of Jamie New alongside Hayley Tamaddon as Miss Hedge, Shane Richie as Hugo/Loco Chanelle, Sejal Keshwala as Ray and Sabrina Sandhu as Pritti Pasha.

Other new cast members include Marlon G Day (Dad), Momar Diagne, Zahra Jones (Becca), Luke Latchman (Sayid), Rachel Price (Swing), Biancha Szynal (Swing), Adam Taylor (Swing) and Ziggy Tyler Taylor (Levi).

Close, who was recently nominated for an Oscar for her appearance in the new film The Wife (for which she won a Golden Globe), celebrated with Williams, Ritchie and Tamaddon on stage after the show, which continues to run at the Apollo Theatre in the West End.

The show originally opened at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre in 2017 and has music from Dan Gillespie Sells and book and lyrics from Tom MacRae.

It's directed by Jonathan Butterell with design by Anna Fleischle, choreography by Kate Prince, lighting design by Lucy Carter, sound design by Paul Groothuis and musical direction by Theo Jamieson.
