Rosalind Eleazar and Rachel Tucker will join Ralph Fiennes and Francesca Annis in the world premiere of Rebecca Lenkiewicz’s Small Hotel, the final production in this year’s Ralph Fiennes / Theatre Royal Bath season.
Fiennes plays Larry, a well-known television personality whose career is in decline. As he reflects on his past, he is confronted by a number of people from his life, including his twin brother Richard, his former partner Marianne, played by Eleazar, and his mother Athena, played by Annis.
Lenkiewicz, who in 2008 became the first living female playwright to have an original work staged in the Olivier at the National Theatre with Her Naked Skin, has seen her plays produced internationally. Small Hotel will be directed by Holly Race Roughan, artistic director of touring company Headlong.
The production runs at Theatre Royal Bath from 3 to 18 October 2025. It closes the inaugural Fiennes / Theatre Royal Bath season, which also featured Grace Pervades, transferring to the Theatre Royal Haymarket in 2026, a production of As You Like It directed by Fiennes, and two sold-out evenings with Patti Smith and Kae Tempest.
