Four names have been added to the line-up of the one-off concert at the Duke of York’s Theatre on 16 March
Full casting has been announced for the upcoming West End Recast concert at the Duke of York's Theatre on 16 March, with Tracie Bennett (Hairspray, End of the Rainbow), Michael Matus (The Sound of Music, Taboo), Katie Rowley Jones (Wicked, Sister Act) and Gareth Snook (The Phantom of the Opera, Blood Brothers) completing the line-up.
They join the previously announced Frances Ruffelle, Daniel Boys, Cynthia Erivo, Jenna Russell, Simon Bailey, Rebecca Brewer, Martin Callaghan, Nick Holder, Leon Lopez, Laura Pitt-Pulford, Jon Robyns and Emma Williams.
The show, which has "no boundaries", will let the stars sing whatever they like, regardless of age, sex or even singing voice. It will feature songs from shows including Wicked, Sweeney Todd, Rent, Dreamgirls and La Cage Aux Folles.
Billed as a "rare opportunity to witness the musical theatre impossible", West End Recast is directed by Adam Lenson, whose directing credits include Ordinary Days (Trafalgar Studios), Little Fish and Saturn Returns (Finborough) and has musical supervision, musical direction and arrangements by Daniel A. Weiss (Without You, RENT).
