The hit play hits the stage once more
Jake Brunger’s Four Play will return to the London stage in a new production at the King’s Head Theatre, running from 11 July 2025. The revival is presented by DEM Productions, King’s Head Theatre Productions and the Angels of Angel, with an official opening night on 15 July.
The play will be directed by Jack Sain and features Daniel Bravo, Lewis Cornay, Jo Foster and Zheng Xi Yong in the cast. Jack Gibson joins the company as cover. Brunger has revised the script for this production, marking ten years since the play’s original premiere at the Old Vic, which starred Richard Madden and Jeremy Irvine.
Four Play follows Rafe and Pete, a couple in a long-term relationship who decide to address their mutual inexperience by inviting their friend Michael into an intimate arrangement. What begins as a mutual agreement soon unravels into a more complex and emotionally charged situation, as boundaries blur and assumptions are tested. The play examines modern queer relationships and questions around freedom, fidelity and emotional honesty.
The creative team includes Benedict Cork (original music), Peiyao Wang (design), Charlie Martin (movement direction), Daniel Carter-Brennan (lighting), Julian Starr (sound) and Nicholas Hockaday (casting).
