Rehearsal pictures have been released for the new piece which opens at the Royal Court next month
WhatsOnStage has been given a sneak peek into the rehearsal room of Simon McBurney's new play, The Kid Stays in the Picture.
Exploring the life of film producer Robert Evans, McBurney's new piece opens at the Royal Court in March with X-Men actor Danny Huston making his London stage debut.
Evans, best known for his work on the films The Godfather and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, is credited with saving Paramount Pictures from collapse, but faced personal and professional problems in the '80s. The title of the play is taken from his 1994 memoir, from which the play is adapted.
The cast also includes Thomas Arnold, Heather Burns, Max Casella, Clint Dyer, Ajay Naidu and Madeleine Potter.
Adapted by McBurney and James Yeatman, the play has costumes by Christina Cunningham, set by Anna Fleischle, video by Simon Wainwright, lighting by Paul Anderson and sound by Pete Malkin.
The Kids Stay in the Picture runs at the Royal Court from 15 March to 8 April, with previews from 7 March.
