Exclusive: Murder Ballad announces extension to December

The musical will have its UK premiere at the Arts Theatre next month

Producers have announced an extension to the booking period for the UK premiere of Murder Ballad.

The show, which stars Kerry Ellis (Wicked), Ramin Karimloo (Phantom of the Opera), Victoria Hamilton–Barritt (In the Heights) and Norman Bowman (Guys and Dolls), opens on 5 October and will now run at the Arts Theatre until 3 December.

Julia Jordan and Juliana Nash's musical tells of three New Yorkers in a bar caught in a love triangle, with direction by Sam Yates, design by Richard Kent, and musical direction from Sean Green. It premiered at the Manhattan Theatre Club in 2012 before transferring to the Union Square Theatre.

Completing the cast are Natalie McQueen (alternate Sara/cover Narrator), and Matthew Harvey (cover Michael and Tom).

Murder Ballad runs at the Arts Theatre from 5 October, with previews from 30 September.
