Exclusive: Antony Costa to star in Save the Last Dance for Me UK tour

The Blue singer will play the role of Milton from April

A UK tour of Save the Last Dance for Me has been announced, with Antony Costa taking the leading role of Milton.

Costa, famous for being a member of the boyband Blue, returns to the stage after roles in Blood Brothers (Phoenix Theatre) and Boogie Nights (UK Tour).

Save the Last Dance for Me, which will start its UK tour at the New Wimbledon Theatre from 12 April, follows two teenage sisters through the summer of 1963 and includes classic songs from Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman such as "Viva Las Vegas", "Save the Last Dance For Me" and "Can’t Get Used to Losing You".

Written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, the production is brought to the stage from the same team behind the successful Dreamboat and Petticoats.

Save the Last Dance for Me opens at the New Wimbledon Theatre on 12 April, after which it will tour to Malvern,Stoke, Glasgow, Sunderland, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Blackpool, Liverpool, Leeds, Cheltenham, Manchester, Tunbridge Wells, Swansea, Oxford and Cardiff.
