Erin Doherty and Sophie Melville will star in the world premiere of Wolfie at Theatre503.

Ross Willis' debut play, which follows two twins who are separated at birth, questions who is responsible for the most vulnerable in society.

Doherty is known for her roles in The Divide and Junkyard and will play Princess Anne in the upcoming new season of The Crown. Melville's credits include Iphigenia in Splott, for which she was nominated for both an Evening Standard Award and a Drama Desk Award.

Willis is one of Theatre503's current 503Five playwrights, and was recently awarded a £10,000 bursary by Kudos and the Royal Court to support his writing. He said: "Wolfie started out as a tiny idea. Which became a howl. Which became a roar. It is inspired by the way I was raised and the way I live now because of it. I'm from a background where I felt like I had never been listened to and if I rarely was the words never came out clearly enough – but in writing they did. I am so excited for Theatre503 to stage it."

Wolfie is directed by Theatre503's artistic director Lisa Spirling, with design by Basia Binkowska, lighting by Rajiv Pattani, sound by Richard Hammarton, casting by Annelie Powell and movement by Belinda Chapman. It runs from 20 March to 13 April.
