Award-winning en masse theatre return to The Studio at Manchester’s Royal Exchange this Christmas to invite all children aged 7+ on a fluorescent voyage through space with Spaceship ’87.

It’s 1987, the year of the great storm, and a little girl’s bedroom has been turned into a spaceship – a place to dream of astronauts, asteroids and aliens.  But a storm outside continues to rage and another one inside is brewing – a storm that threatens to destroy everything.

With the power of imagination taking over, will the little girl get her spaceship to fly, not just through space, but through her hopes, dreams and fears to save her family and the universe?

Accompanied by a classic 1980s soundtrack, en masse theatre, renowned for their creative and original theatre for children, create another visual and powerful delight to entertain adults alike.

The cast includes Oliver Birch, Katie Cotterell, Hannah Emanuel and Christopher Kelham and the play runs from 16 Dec  – 2 Jan.
