Diana Vickers and Sara Crowe join Shane Richie in The Entertainer tour

Further casting has been announced for the upcoming tour of John Osborne's The Entertainer, which opens at Curve in Leicester in August.
This production of Osborne's seminal 1957 play is given a new setting in 1982, where washed up stage entertainer Archie Rice completes a summer season and his soldier son sails with the Task Force to liberate the Falklands. At the same time his daughter Jean returns from campaigning against the war.
Joining the previously announced Shane Richie as Rice will be Sara Crowe (Calendar Girls) as Phoebe Rice and Diana Vickers (Son of A Preacher Man) as Jean.
The show will be directed by Sean O'Connor, opening at Curve in Leicester 27 August, and will tour until November. Further casting and creative team are to be announced.
The Entertainer will tour to towns including Milton Keynes, Malvern, Plymouth, Woking, Eastbourne, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Brighton, Manchester, Bromley, Cheltenham and Shrewsbury.
