The show, a concert version of ”Grease 2”, transfers to the Duchess following two sell-out performances at the Lyric Theatre last month
Grease sequel concert Cool Rider will play for a week at the Duchess Theatre, from 15 to 19 April 2014, following two sell-out performances at the Lyric Theatre last month.
Ashleigh Gray and Aaron Sidwell will again sing the roles of Stephanie and Michael, played on screen in Grease 2 by Michelle Pfeiffer and Maxwell Caulfield.
The 1982 film takes place two years after the original film at Rydell High School, and features a new cast of characters.
Songs include "Who's That Guy?", "Score Tonight", "Cool Rider" – which will be sung in the concert "precariously atop a step ladder" – "Girl for all Seasons" and "Rock-a-Hula Luau (Summer Is Coming)".
Ashleigh Gray‘s theatre credits include standby Elphaba in Wicked (Apollo Victoria), The Secret Garden (UK tour), I Dreamed A Dream (UK tour), Taboo (UK tour), Myths and Hymns (Finborough Theatre) and Betwixt (Trafalgar Studios).
Aaron Sidwell‘s stage roles include Michael Dork in Loserville (Garrick Theatre), Jack Sprat in Carnaby Street (UK tour), Children of Eden (Prince of Wales Theatre). He also played series regular Steven Beale in Eastenders.

Cool Rider is directed by Guy Unsworth and choreographed by Matt Krzan, with musical direction by Lee Freeman, lighting design by Charlie Morgan Jones and costume design by Christopher Wilmer.
