Chicago will return for a new tour, set to open at the New Wimbledon Theatre on Friday 5 February 2027.
Set in the 1920s, Chicago follows Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her lover after he threatens to leave her – and the legal battle that ensues.
The musical has a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, and is based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins. The 1996 Broadway revival was choreographed by Ann Reinking in the style of Bob Fosse and directed by Walter Bobbie. It was produced by Barry and Fran Weissler.
