Jessica Swale’s revival will star Carolyn Backhouse and Jackie Clune
Full casting has been announced for the revival of Noël Coward‘s comedy Fallen Angels, which opens in September.
Directed by Jessica Swale, the cast will be led by Jackie Clune who recently starred in The Vote at the Donmar Warehouse and Carolyn Backhouse whose acting credits include Coronation Street and Midsummer Murders.
They will be joined by William Travis, Callum Coates, Lucy Thackeray and Gregory Finnegan.
First performed in 1925, Fallen Angels caused outrage for its references to sex out of wedlock and women’s drunken behaviour. The play is now seen as making sharp observations about society, marriage and sexual double standards.
The Salisbury Playhouse Production of Fallen Angels is designed by Simon Kenny.
Fallen Angels runs at Salisbury Playhouse from 10 September to 3 October.
