Casting announced for In The Night Time (Before the Sun Rises)

Alex Waldmann and Adelle Leonce will star in the world premiere of new play In the Night Time (Before the Sun Rises) at the Gate Theatre next year.

The play is set over the course of one night, where two parents try to settle their child, but as the night wears on, they begin to question whether bringing a child into the world was the right thing to do.

Waldmann will play Man and Leonce will play Woman. Waldmann was last seen as Henry VI in The Wars of the Roses at Rose Theatre Kingston, and Widowers Houses at the Orange Tree theatre. Leonce's credits include Tipping the Velvet at the Lyric Hammersmith and Light Shining in Buckinghamshire at the National Theatre.

Ben Kidd will direct the play, which is the debut from writer Nina Segal.

In the Night Time (Before the Sun Rises) opens on 8 February and runs until 27 February..
