Casting announced for Curious Incident at Gielgud Theatre

Casting has been announced for the resumption of the National Theatre's hit production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, at the Gielgud Theatre from 8 July 2014 (previews from 24 June).

Graham Butler will lead the cast as Christopher Boone in the show, which is reopening at the Gielgud following the Apollo Theatre incident last year. His stage credits include the Henry VI trilogy and Henry V at Shakespeare's Globe and The White Guard (National Theatre).

He is joined by Vivienne Acheampong (No. 40/Punk Girl), Daniel Casey (Roger Shears), Emily Joyce (Judy), Gay Soper (Mrs Alexander), Paul Stocker (Mr Thompson), Nicolas Tennant (Ed), Tony Turner (Reverend Peters), Victoria Willing (Mrs Shears), Sarah Woodward (Siobhan) and Sam Bond, Roxanne Palmer and Mark Rawlings. Final casting will be announced shortly.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is adapted from Mark Haddon's bestselling novel by Simon Stephens, and directed by Marianne Elliott.

Public booking has also opened today for the Broadway premiere of the show, which opens at the Barrymore Theatre in October. The production will also tour the UK from 18 December 2014.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is currently booking at the Gielgud Theatre until 14 February 2015. Blithe Spirit starring Angela Lansbury is playing at the Gielgud Theatre until 7 June.
