Full casting for Robert Icke's Hamlet, starring Andrew Scott, has been announced.

Joshua Higgott, and Angus Wright (Claudius), join the previously announced cast which includes Luke Thompson (Laertes), Juliet Stevenson (Gertrude) and Jessica Brown Findlay (Ophelia).

Higgott, Wright and Thompson all appeared in Icke's production of Oresteia, for which he won the Olivier Award for Best Director last year.

The production will also feature Barry Aird (Hamlet, Barbican), Elliot Barnes-Worrell (Man and Superman), Marty Cruickshank (A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream), Calum Finlay (The Ghost Train), Amaka Okafor (Peter Pan), Daniel Rabin (Mary Stuart), David Rintoul (Nell Gwynn), Peter Wight (Waiting for Godot) and Matthew Wynn (Measure for Measure).

Hamlet will be designed by Hildegard Bechtler, with lighting by Natasha Chivers, sound by Tom Gibbons and video design by Tal Yarden.

Hamlet runs at the Almeida on 28 February until 8 April, with previews from 14 February.
