Spitfire Girls, the hit play by Katherine Senior, has announced casting for its second UK tour.
The production will open at Winchester Theatre Royal on 26 February. It first ran at Mayflower Studios in Southampton in March 2025 before touring to ten venues across the UK. Set on New Year’s Eve in 1959, it follows two women reunited years after their service in the Second World War.
Presented by Tilted Wig and Mayflower Southampton, the production is directed by Seán Aydon with design by Sarah Beaton. It has been developed with support from the National Theatre Generate Programme and is presented in collaboration with the Royal British Legion. Lighting is by Peter Small, with original music by Eamonn O’Dwyer.
Set to star will be original cast members Katherine Senior (Bett), Kirsty Cox (Joy/C.O.) and Jack Hulland (Dad/Frank), joined by Hannah Morrison who will play Dotty, Katriona Brown sharing the role of Bett and Paul Brown as Tom/Jimmy.
