Jonathan Munby’s revival of Arthur Miller’s The Price will play for an additional two weeks at the Marylebone Theatre.
The drama follows two estranged brothers in New York, who meet to discuss the sale of their late father’s possessions. It premiered on Broadway in 1968 and was nominated for two Tony Awards.
Two-time Olivier Award winner Henry Goodman stars as Gregory Solomon in the new production. Our critic said he gives “a stupendous, magnetic performance” in the WhatsOnStage review.
Also in the cast are Faye Castelow (Leopoldstadt) as Esther Franz, Elliot Cowan (A Little Life) as Victor Franz and John Hopkins (Dr Strangelove) as Walter Franz.
Alongside Munby, the creative team includes designer Jon Bausor, lighting designer Anna Watson, sound designer Max Pappenheim, casting director Helena Palmer and associate director Eleanor Taylor.
Marylebone Theatre’s artistic director, Alexander Gifford, said, on behalf of the producers: “The response from audiences to The Price has been extraordinary and we are delighted to be giving it an extended run. The cast and creative team have delivered an exceptional production with Henry Goodman giving an iconic performance. I am proud of all the positive responses to the show and how widely the Marylebone Theatre is now being spoken of as one of London’s most exciting venues.”
Produced by Marylebone Theatre, Patrick Myles and David Luff, Alexander ‘Sandy’ Marshall, in association with Anthology Theatre and Tulchin Bartner Productions, The Price will now run until 21 June.
