The ”Ghost Stories” co-creator joins Johnny Flynn and David Morrissey at the Wyndham’s Theatre
Full casting has been announced for the West End transfer of Hangmen, which will open at the Wyndham's Theatre in December.
Taking over from Reece Shearsmith, who will not appear due to filming commitments, will be Andy Nyman as Syd. Also joining the cast will be Craig Parkinson as Inspector Fry and Tony Hirst as Bill.
Reprising their roles will be David Morrissey as Harry and Johnny Flynn as Mooney.
The cast will be completed by Josef Davies, James Dryden, John Hodgkinson, Bronwyn James, Ryan Pope, Sally Rogers and Simon Rouse.
Martin McDonagh's play, which centres on the "second-best hangman in England" in the wake of the 1964 outlawing of capital punishment, opened at the Royal Court in September to critical acclaim.
Directed by Matthew Dunster, the production features set and costume design by Anna Fleischle, lighting by Joshua Carr and sound by Ian Dickinson for Autograph.
