The Apollo Theatre reopened in style last night with the West End transfer of the National Theatre of Scotland's hit vampire thriller Let the Right One In.

Based on the Swedish novel and cult-hit film by John Ajvide Lindqvist, the show follows the burgeoning relationship between Oskar, a lonely bullied teenage boy and Eli, a centuries old young vampire who befriends him.

John Tiffany's award-winning production recently ran at the Royal Court and stars newcomers Rebecca Benson and Martin Quinn.

Reviewing the production for WhatsOnStage, Michael Coveney writes: "Let the Right One In takes you to the edge of human experience, and perversity, with eye-opening candour, beauty and ingenuity."
