The Nottingham Playhouse, Almeida Theatre and Headlong production has returned to the West End
Producers have announced an eight week extension for the return of 1984 at the Playhouse Theatre.
Robert Icke and Duncan Macmillan's adaptation of George Orwell's novel will now run until 29 October 2016.
After its premiere at Nottingham Playhouse in September 2013, the production transferred to the Almeida Theatre and onto the West End before a sold-out international tour.
Orwell's book, published in 1949, is one of the most influential novels of modern times, with its chilling depiction of perpetual war, pervasive government surveillance and incessant public mind control.
