STATik is set to be performed in both Manchester and Liverpool venues

Audiences will be given an insight into the fascinating minds of children in Action Port Theatre's latest production.

The Ellesmere Port theatre company have been developing STATIk for the past year, talking to hundreds of primary school children about issues that have been puzzling adults for centuries.

From the serious to the silly, the 60-minute play has been inspired by the responses they received - with real recordings being used as a soundtrack to the show.

Director Nina Hajiyianni says "The show is a reminder that adults sometimes have something to learn from children!"

The story's central character Mikey is on his first day at work at a radio factory. He joins the signal-fixers, preparing radio transmitters and tuning them in, but when a rogue signal is mysteriously picked up, hectic hilarity ensues.

The production will feature performances from Simone Lewis, Michael Lattin-Rawstrone and Rebecca Rogers.

It runs at Liverpool's Unity Theatre on 19 October and Manchester's Z-Arts on 2 November.
