Cast from the 2016 production of Rent will perform pieces from the show in a secret location later this year.

The performances will be a part of unique screenings of the film version of the 1996 musical, which will occur in an abandoned lot in London, with the exact address to be revealed.

At every screening, several members of the 20th-anniversary tour cast will perform some of the show's most iconic songs like "Seasons of Love", "La Vie Boheme" and "Take Me or Leave Me" in an intimate setting before the movie begins.

The cast appearing includes Shanay Holmes (The Bodyguard) as Joanne, Layton Williams (Hairspray) as Angel, Lucie Jones (Eurovision, Legally Blonde) as Maureen, Billy Cullum (Matilda) as Mark and Philippa Stefani (In The Heights) as Mimi. Further cast appearances are to be confirmed. The show follows a group of New Yorkers struggling to make ends meet while living with the consequences of the AIDS epidemic.

Holmes said: "We wanted to put something together for the fans to say thank you for their continued love and support for our production of this incredible show! This will be the ultimate Rent head experience."

Protest posters and fancy dress are actively encouraged.

The screenings will occur at a secret location in London on 17 June at 2.30pm and 7pm, and on 24 June at 2.30pm and 7pm.
