Rebecca Trehearn to star in Watermill's Kiss Me, Kate with choreography by Oti Mabuse

It's time to brush up your Shakespeare – initialcasting and creative team has been announced for the Watermill's production of Cole Porter's Kiss Me, Kate.

Olivier Award-winner Rebecca Trehearn takes on the lead role of Lilli in the show, opposite David Ricardo-Pearce as Fred. The new production is directed by Paul Hart will feature a cast of actor-musicians.

The production ischoreographed by Strictly Come Dancing's professional Oti Mabuse, who recently oversaw the choreography of the Southwark Playhouse and Mercury Theatre Colchester production of Ain't Misbehavin'.

Mabuse said: "I am so excited to be choreographing the classic musical Kiss Me, Kate and working at The Watermill it is such a great venue and a privilege to work with this team. It is also another first for me to work with a cast of actor-musos – "Another Op'nin , Another Show"!"

Kiss Me, Kate is designed by Frankie Bradshaw with musical supervision and orchestration by Tom Attwood. Lighting is designed by Rory Beaton with sound designed by Tom Marshall. James Bennett is associate choreographer.

The production runs from 25 July to 21 September.
