Olivier Awards reveal 2023 Industry Recognition Award recipients
The Oliviers and the Society of London Theatre have revealed the 2023 Industry Recognition Award recipients.
These include casting director Pippa Ailion, founder and owner of Autograph Sound Andrew Bruce, founder and former director of Inc Arts UK Amanda Parker and executive chairman and joint chief executive of PW Productions Peter Wilson.

Ailion is currently represented in the West End by Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, The Book of Mormon, Disney’s The Lion King and the upcoming production of Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations. She began her career in theatre in 1972, working as an actor, production assistant, company manager and resident director and went on to serve as resident associate director at the Old Vic (1987 to 1991) and head of the BA Acting course at London’s Central School of Speech and Drama (1994 to 1997). She has cast over 200 productions worldwide.
Bruce began his theatre career at Glyndebourne Festival Opera in 1968, before being appointed head of sound at the Royal Opera House in 1971. He co-founded Autograph Sound Recording a year later and, five decades later, his credits include the likes of Les Misérables, Mamma Mia!, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins.
Parker has championed the creative, contractual and economic rights of the UK’s ethnically diverse arts sector workforce through the foundation of Inc Arts UK. She has also worked extensively in equality, diversity and inclusion roles at the BBC and Directors UK.
Wilson’s first West End production was Arnold Wesker’s Annie Wobbler in 1985. He has since produced a 33-year tenure of The Woman in Black at the Fortune Theatre, alongside titles such as An Inspector Calls. He previously ran the Theatre Royal in Norwich and currently sits on the baord of Theatre Royal Stratford East.
The recipients will be honoured at a special Nominees Celebration event at The Londoner Hotel on 17 March.
The Olivier Awards ceremony is set to take place at the Royal Albert Hall on 2 April, hosted by Hannah Waddingham.
